MSP430I2040: EMDC software is compatible with MSP430I2040 IC?

Hi,

I am using the MSP430I2040S EVM with the EMDC software and able to communicate and see the voltage/current values using the EMDC GUI.

I am currently waiting for a custom hw based on the MSP430I2040 IC, so that I can load my modified EMDC sw on the custom hw(based on MSP430I2040).

I would like to know if the EMDC sw is compatible and can be used with the MSP430I2040 IC based hw or does it only work with the MSP430I2041 IC?
