Hi team,
The customer is using the EZ-FET of the MSP430F5528, the LED does not light up and does not work when powered. The customer would like to know what's the possible reason for that.
Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Hi Cherry,
Are you saying that the EZ-FET's LED do not working properly? Are your customer using the MSP430F5528's launchpad MSP-EXP430F5528?
If so, you can refer to the launchpad User's Guide table 2. https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau533d/slau533d.pdf

Hi Cash Hao,
Thanks for your support.
Are you saying that the EZ-FET's LED do not working properly?
Yes.
Are your customer using the MSP430F5528's launchpad MSP-EXP430F5528?
The customer is using MSP430F5529LP, but cannot use the USB download program, there is no serial port on the PC side.
Thanks and Best Regards,

Hi Cherry,
Are you saying that the USB port on the launchpad is not working properly?

there is no serial port on the PC side.
Why you need serial port on the PC side?
Best regards,
Cash Hao
I guess that "The customer is using MSP430F5529LP, but cannot use the USB download program, there is no serial port on the PC side." is related to bricked ez-FET lite that is not properly enumerated by OS, so there is no HID/CDC ports available on PC.

So do that mean the MSP430F5528 chip is broken? Because when connecting to the other LPs, they do have a COM port.

Hi Cherry,
Let's focus on why the USB port is not working.
You can refer to my first reply and check the LED status on the launchpad which indicating what errors happens on the launchpad.

Cash Hao
