According to the Datasheet AVcc needs to be 2.2V or more. Also AVcc and DVcc needs to be at same potential. We have a system voltage of 1V8. MSP430 claims to be able to work at 1V8. Is there any way of getting ADC to work in 1V8 system?

Hi Jonas
MSP430F5419A can work on 1.8V on Vcc power supply. But accroding to "8.36 12-Bit ADC, Power Supply and Input Range Conditions" on DS. Avcc power on ADC should be 2.2-3.6V. it means ADC can't be garanteed on 1.8V. even ADC works on 1.8V, the accuracy (LSB) can't be garanteed.
Thanks for the reply. So ADC is functional even with 1V8 but resolution is not 12-bits. Do you have any knowledge of how much resolution is affected? We probably could go with 10 bit resolution and 2 LSB presenting nonsensible data would be OK.
Does this same apply to all MS430s? I assume that it does but if there is some models capable of 1V8 ADC functionality we could use that instead.
