Hi,

My customer is considering designing a touchpad. For the touchpad, refer to the link below. I would like to know if there is a reference design or documentation other than this link.

Hi Sasaki-san,

The document SLAA944 was never released. Instead, we are incorporating the SLAA944 content into the next release of the Captivate design center and technology guide, scheduled for release the first week in January 2022. In the meantime I can provide the preliminary content to the customer and would be happy to answer any of their questions. I don’t have my computer with me at this moment but will send to you tomorrow, by end of the day, Thursday U.S. time.

I am a customer of Mr.Sasaki and he introduced me this thread.
We need startup software libraries for the evaluation board CAPTIVATE-FR2676. We created a 50x50mm PCB filled with diamond patterns to detect X-Y location on it. It can connect to FR2626 directly. We are unable to write a driver program from scratch so we need clues to start evaluation. We are going to start the evaluation from the top of Jan.

I apologize for the delay in sending the documentation. I am in the process of combining several older documents into a single document, but this taking more time than planned. So I will attach the older documents.

You don't need to write a driver program. Did you create a Captivate Design Center project for your trackpad? This automatically creates 100% of all the necessary code to get the sensor up and running. Follow the instructions in the quick start guide below.

Refer to the TP4X4-FR2673 Demo quick start guide, pg 20 to see how to create your trackpad sensor in the Captivate Design Center. Since you have already created the PCB layout, you will need to inform the Captivate Design Center how the trackpad electrodes connect to the MSP430 CAPT IO pins. For this see Touchpad HW design guide, pg 20.
