MSP430F5503: Regarding USB VBONIFG flag

Part Number: MSP430F5503

Hi,

I have a question about VBONIFG on MSP430F5503.
The VBONIFG flag is set when VBUS exceeds VLAUNCH(3.75V).

Is this interrupt detected at the edge or level? I think it will be detected at the level, but I want to know it just in case.
Also, is there a specified delay time from when this VBUS exceeds VLAUNCH until VBONIFG is set?

Best regards,
Sasaki

  • Hello Sasaki,

We do not provide specifics on the nature of the trigger and timing of this specific interrupt. If you need more understanding of of how Vlaunch detection works in correlation of VBUS voltage and the USB power sub-system starting up, please see Section 42.2.2.1 Enabling and Disabling in the User Guide for the device for a good description of intended ebhavior.

  • Hi Jace-san,

    Thank you for your comment.

    I understand it.

    Best regards,
    Sasaki
