MSP430FR59691: Finding the MCU number at run time

Part Number: MSP430FR59691

Some of our MSP430-based products are designed to work with multiple MSP430 MCUs (pretty tired of these supply chain issues). I'm working on exposing the Device ID to our production test software.

The data sheets show I can expect to find the Device ID information in the Info block (typically located at 0x1A04). So far so good.

It looks like the MSP430FR5659 and MSP430FR56591 share the same Device ID (0x69). Is there any additional place to look to determine the MCU? Since the BSL interface is the difference, is there a BSL address that is readable by the main app that would indicate which BSL the chip has — and further identifying the MCU? A quick google search didn’t yield anything interesting.

Thanks for the help.
