SATA Bridge From PCIE or USB

Hello,

This may be a bit of a stretch, but I'm wondering if it would be feasible to use an MCU to create a USB to SATA (gen3) or PCIE to SATA (gen3) bridge?

I need more SATA ports in a design but only have USB and PCIE ports still available.
