Hello geeks, I'm a beginner. Is there any way to write portable code across all msp430 family controllers? Does CMSIS supports MSP430 family?

CMSIS is targeted at Cortex (ARM) processors. (Its in the name.)
You could write code that was portable across all MSP430 processors if you dumbed down operation of common peripherals (UART) to things all processors have. And ignore systems that not all have (DMA, capacitive sense, etc.) The end result would be kind of like Arduino, fine if the software supports what you want to do but just gets in the way if it doesn't.
If dealing with the hardware registers is too hard, there is always the TI provided DriverLib. I never use it.
