Hi Champ,

I am customer for my customer.

The eZ430-F2013 User's Guide tells the difference between the 4-pin and 6-pin headers that has UART or not of the MSP-EZ430U.

Is it able to assign 4/6-pin headers when the customer order the eZ430-F2013 ?

Is there a different part number for the MSP-EZ430U 4/6-pin headers ?

Hello Johnny,

The EZ430-F2013 is no longer supported and cannot be ordered. We have left the tool folder up for legacy customers that still have this EVM+Debugger setup.

May I ask is there any other tool that can replace the eZ430-F2013 ?

Or it is better to recommend the customer (using MSP430F2012TPW) to replace with the MSP-FET or the MSP-GANG ?

Since they have price concern.

eZ-FET on any Launchpad should work with this device by SBW without any issues. eZ-FET based on MSP430F5528 is faster than old one.

If it is because of some special reason important that device (F2xx DIP version) can be inserted on LP target board part, than only option is 11$ MSP-EXP430G2ET (www.ti.com/.../MSP-EXP430G2ET). But they can buy any other LP that is available right now for purchase except old (not supported) one MSP-EXP430G2 (without ET).

Please also see the MSP Debuggers User Guide for more information about the debugger offerings for MSP430.

The MSP-FET is the standalone debugger that is full featured. As zmo soli mentioned, any MSP430 Launchpad can program any MSP430 as well.
