Hi Experts,

A customer Is receiving the error MSP430: Error connecting to the target: Unknown device when trying to upload a code to their custom board using the MSP-FET emulator this via CCS.

Can you help check if the schematic is correct or if there are any errors?

    Hi Marvin,

    The schematic looks fine.

    Ask the customer how long are the programming signal paths from the MSPFET to the target MSP (this includes length of wires + traces on PCB)?  If > 20cm have them try shortening the wires.

    Is the target MSP powered from the MSPFET or separate power source during programming?
