MSP430F5249: Does it come with pre-programmed registers?

Some families of the MSP430 come with calibration registers already pre programmed from the factory. But the MSP430F5249 documentation doesn't indicate anything about this. So some of the MSP430 documents

have a built in calibration method for the end product to implement, to get the correct values in the registers.

Does the MSP430F5249 comes with pre programmed registers for the Digital Oscillator? Or do customers have to do this theirselves?

Hello Lauren,

From a programming perspective, nothing is pre-programmed into this device. We do provide some ADC and vref calibration values in the TLV that a customer can utilize to get better accuracy out of the analog components of the MCU.

The device starts up at a default 1MHz, and it's up to the customer to change the frequency to other values via their application program. Please observe within the datasheet the dependency of voltage level, vcore level, and frequency the device can operate.
