MSP430F4784: Program running only in debug

Hi,

Currently I'm using MSP430F4784. To test the controller is working I simply programmed LED blink.

When ran this program in debug mode it worked fine. However, when the debugger is stopped and I reset the controller the LED is not blinking and also there is no voltage in output.

To confirm I cross checked in various pins but the results are same.

What would be the issue?

Is there any change I need to do in properties?

Have you check the power of the device when exit debug mode. It should not be able to run under debug, exit debug and cannot run.

I checked the voltage level on Avdd, Dvdd1, Dvdd2 is 3.3 V. In our custom board when we are connecting to the RPS power supply the current consumption is 0.035 Amps.

While the MCU is in debug mode the current consumption increases to 0.051 Amps. After terminating the debug mode the current consumption reduces back to 0.035 Amps. The program is to make a certain GPIO pin high. In debug mode it is high after exiting debug mode it is in floating state.
