Hello TI E2E Community,

                 I am using TI's MSP430FG4618 experimenter board. Can I interface a 16x2 LCD with the MSP430. Please provide code examples for the same.

    Hi Mrunal,

    yes, you can interface 16x2 LCDs with the MSP430, but keep an eye on the voltage levels (most LCD use 5V but the MSP can only run at max 3.6V).

    You can find an example code under my files here http://e2e.ti.com/members/1702574/files/default.aspx.

    There's a schematic included. I've used a 5V LCD in 'write only mode' (you can't read back from the LCD memory) so the different voltage levels don't matter.
