EVM430-FR6047: Poor Connection

Dear Sir or Madam

I purchased two EVM430-FR6047 units, one of which, since the first day I purchased it, keeps emitting Error with the LED03 light on when connected.
When I connect the same transducer to the other unit, it works fine.
Is this an initial defect? Please let me know if there is any way to check.

Hi Masaki,

First, if you haven't already, double-check all the jumpers on these two EVMs are installed exactly the same. Next, are you programming both EVMs with same code?

The jumpers is connected in the exact same place.
The cord are also exactly the same.

The error message is "No signal detected in UPS channel" with "Code 125".

Do you think you can find the cause?
If it is an initial defect, I would like to request a replacement.

Hi Masaki,

Check that all the components shown in red box are populated on your PCB. If they are, you will need to reach out to TI customer support to request a replacement.

I checked inside the red box and all components were mounted.
I checked with customer support and they told me to ask the distributor where I purchased the product to replace it, so I will do so.

Hi Masaki,

Another advise is that if you have some samples of the MSP430FR6047 MCU in hand. You can replace the MSP430FR6047 on the failure board with a new one and test it. It would help us to find what causes the issue. Thank you!

We only have the evaluation module. We do not have a replacement MSP430FR6047.　We have now submitted a replacement request to our distributor. We are currently waiting for a response from our distributor.
