MSP430FR2355: ADC decoupling capacitors when an internal reference is used

Hi,

I got a question from my customer who is designing a board with FR2355.

Customer is planning to use ADC with an internal reference voltage. Just in case, he wants to use an external VREF as backup.
According to datasheet(SLASEC4D) Figure 7-5, decoupling capacitors are recommended for an external VREF.
So he puts these decoupling circuit on PCB.

Question:
Is this OK to put these decoupling capacitors when an internal reference is used? No side effects?
