Does anyone have any suggestion for a Small Microcontroller Eval board with an inbuilt ADC and have input port to the ADC? If you know it's available from any supplier, please suggest it. Thank you.

ADC preferred spec:

16 bit
the sampling rate of more than 40ksps

Even if your ADC doesn't meet the above spec, you can still suggest it because your suggestion might lead me to find the right ADC.

Hello Pragash,

Do you want the ADC in the microcontroller chip, or can it be a separate device? I'm not clear on the "inbuilt ADC" request: inbuilt to the eval board, or inbuilt as part of the microcontroller?

i want ADC in the microcontroller chip which has ADC input port.

Do you have a certain pin count you are looking for?

If not, I spoke to one of our Product Marketing Engineers and we'd like to recommend the MSP-TS430PW14, which I will link below. It has a 16 bit ADC that should meet your requirements.

no pin count requirement. if we can have ADC built into MCU, it will be great. just need ADC input , and ADC output. supply voltage to the ADC is a must. any other I/O pins are not required.

Hi Dylan,

i check MSP430 family MCU + ADC. None of the datasheet specified ADC sampling rate. do you know why? sampling rate is an important parameter for ADC.

The sampling rate in a sigma-delta ADC is determined by the clock frequency that is supplied to the ADC, divided by the value in the OSR - oversampling rate. So depending on what clock rate the ADC is utilizing, and the oversampling rate, you can determine determine the ADC's sampling rate.
