MSP430FR2632: CapTIvate Design Center's GUI looks wrong.

Hello,

The customer is having problems with the GUI display in the CapTIvate Design Center.

The customer checked the release notes and found that JRE.1.7 or later is required, so The customer checked the Java Runtime Environment settings and confirmed that jre1.8.0.341 is enabled.

However, when The customer checked the Java Version display in the CapTIvate Design Center's system information, it showed Java Version=16.0.1.

The customer believes that this is the cause of the anomaly in the GUI of the CapTIvate Design Center.

How can the customer enable jre1.8.0.341 in CapTIvate Design Center?

Very strange phenomenon, I have not encountered this problem before, it seems that it may be a problem of screen resolution, have you tried this GUI & Jave in another PC?

You said it is a problem of screen resolution.
What should the customer do in this case?

The customer said he tried it on another PC and the GUI had the same problem.
The customer said that the phenomenon was the same for all three PCs.
The customer said that for some reason they could not do the java -version on the other PCs where the GUI problem occurred.

This means the cmd of "jave -version" can't run in issue PC?

This is because the customer does not currently have the PC that had the previous GUI problem.

Hi DDdoor,

Screen issue just a guess for me, if you use external screen, you can disconnect this screen and try again.

But CapTIvate design center shows Java version abnormal, I don't find similar issue previous,

Thanks for your reply.

The command result you attached to me the other day shows Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM,
but the customer's execution result, which I attached the other day, shows Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM.

Is this GUI problem caused by this difference?

Hi DDdoor,

This may be a potential problem, you can check this via ABA test.
I am not the designer of this software, and I have not experienced similar problems on my side, it is difficult to locate the problem after reproducing it on my side.
