MSP-FET430 UIF problem

Hi,

I am trying to burn code in my kit but as soon as i connect my own board to UIF it blinks both red and green led on it.

When i connect same FET to MSP-EXP430F5438 it works fine.

I tried everyting like uninstalling and then reinstalling IAR, changing USB cable,checking different PC,and upgrading firmware of FET through lite FET-Pro.

still it is not working.And as i was using same PCB from last six months so i think there is no problem with my PCB also.

So can anybody please tell me what went wrong in last few days?

Hi all,

I experiment one more thing i applied external power supply of 3.3V and it works fine.I can download the code.

It seems the power supply provided by FET was not enough.But as i was using same board from last 6 months it never gave such problems.

Can anybody please tell me why this is giving such problems now?

Hi,

I got the fault.Its my USB cable.When i used cable came from TI, it works fine.

I wonder what can be the difference between an USB cable and an USB cable - except for the connectors.
But there seem to be serious differences. Very strange. Can you evaluate what the actual difference is (shortcuts, missing shielding or whatever)?
