Hi there,

I have designed my own board using MSP430FR6043. I am wanting to record time-of-flight between two transducers but the example SAPH and SDHS are not working as I cannot see any pulses coming through. Are there example code for sending and recording pulses without using the EVM or does anyone have suggestions on how I can achieve this

Have you ever tested on the EVM430-FR6043 board before using the example code with GUI connection function?

The example code should not cause this issue. Could you send out your schematic here so we can check on it?

You can use the TI example code Cash talks about because the USS module is setup and operates the same no matter what board the MCU is installed on. The only differences would be if you didn't use a ceramic resonator on the USSXT pins and the USCI pins you are interfacing with. Are you trying to measure through gas or water?

I'm measuring through gas. I've tried to use the example code but the TOF measurements do not change with a change in flow rate. I've attached my schematic above

Hi,

I checked your schematic and have the following the feedbacks.

1. You still need COMM_IRQ pin for the connection with the USS GUI.

2. Your VCC-TX and VCC-RX seems using the same voltage, which means the U3 is not necessary for you. You can follow the attachment for remove the U3 in your schematic.

I would suggest you to start with the USS GUI first. It can save us time to figure out what issue you are facing now.
