Hello,

I am using CCS version 12.0.0.00009 to program an MSP430FR2675. I have been able to run debug programs on the MSP430 for the last few days without any issues. However, today, I have been getting this error: "File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x08120 do not match Please verify target memory and memory map." I have been trying to fix this issue, but I cannot seem to fix it. Also, I am getting similar errors on example projects that I load from TI and try to run on my part. I am also repeating this error on multiple MSP430 ICs. Is there a setting that I need to update?

When I try to run the msp430fr267x_1.asm example project from TI (toggle P1.0), I get the same error (except it says address 0x08000 instead of 0x08120). These errors were not occurring a couple days ago.

It might be worth a look at "Properties->Debug->MSP430 Flash Settings->Erase Options" to see if it somehow got changed from "Erase main memory only".

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have checked that, and it still says "Erase main memory only"

You can try to use erase main, information and protected information memory.

At this point I would be tempted to turn off verification and see what ends up in those locations. There may (or may not) be a clue there.

I've encountered this when I was fooling around with the Persistent/Location/Data_Segment pragmas, but that seems a poor fit for what you're seeing.

I have figured it out. It seems that my MSP430 was in some state that it could not get out of unless I completely erased everything on the chip. It would not erase it through CCS, but only through Uniflash. Once I did that, it has been working for me again.
