MSP430FR6007: ccs issue - not finding msp430FR6007.xml

Part Number: MSP430FR6007

Hi Team,

Getting an error saying msp430fr6007.xml cannot be found.

The catch is that the file IS present in

C:\ti\ccs930\ccs_base\common\targetb\devices\MSP430FR6007.xml.

Hi,

You are using the CCS v9. I do not think the v9 version supports the MSP430FR6007 devices. Could you try with the latest CCS v12?

Actually 9 does. However, one of the things I have tried is downloading version 12. I get the same result.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I tried on my CCS v12. I removed the MSP430FR6007.xml in the folder. And the project can still be build successfully. Can you show me what project you are building?

I suspect the problem lies with the computer used (mine). Probably needs to have Windows reinstalled. I'm not going to spend the time necessary to do that but I have ordered a new computer to take its place. The original computer is older and runs quite slowly (always has).

At any rate, thanks for trying. Let's consider the case closed.
