MSP430I2040: issue about flash memory size

Hi team,

Here's the issue from the customer may need your help:

The flash for the MSP430I2040 written in the manual is 16KB, then the storage address is 0xffff-0xc000.

But the MSP430I2040 in hand can execute code from 0x8000, is the MSP430I2040 actually a 32KB flash (0xffff-0x8000)?

I don't know if the extra flash address can be used reliably?

Could you help check this case?Thanks.

Hi,

For the MSP430I2040, the flash memory is from 0xFFFF to 0xC000. It is not reliably to use the address beyond this range.

The software can be unresponsive or hung and could cause other unpredictable issues.
