MSP430FR6047: Resetting Continuously

Hi Team,

We are facing an issue of continuous reset in few of our products (after few months of deployment). The initial observations are:

1. Power is good at MSP VCCs

2. An LCD is connected to MSP. which reflects continuous reset

3. Power profile of these MSPs with issues also suggest the same. 

4. It does not seems to be watchdog, (watchdog timeout is set at 3.2secs - but this reset is continuous)

What could be possible reasons of continuous reset? It seems the issue is in the firmware. I just need hints to look at any part of firmware.

    Hi Kamlesh,

    I think you can check the below items:

    • Reset pin
    • PVCC(USS Power)
    • Check if be able to access MCU via SBW, if yes, read the image from MCU.
    • Download the new image(disable WDT) to check if this issue still occur.
    • A-B-A Test.
