I have spent some time developing a project with the MSP432P401R, but we are noticing a drop in support of the MSP432 models of microcontrollers. I noticed there are many more models of the MSP430 compared to the 432, so I'm not sure which MSP430 model to start development with.
Some requirements for our system:
- Low power modes able to wake up on a schedule from something like RTC
- Many ADC pins (don't have to be precision)
- Options for network connectivity either through Zigbee or Wifi
- Approachable for college-level students wanting to work on embedded systems projects (software examples available)
