MSP430FR5994: MSP430FR5994

Part Number: MSP430FR5994

Hi

We are using msp430fr5994 launchpad with the outbox demo code provided by Ti including the GUI...we are able to get the temperature value while starting the process through the provided GUi.,but it did not work both the FRAM and SD card capturing process(disconnects its own while starting ). Requesting a suggestion would be highly appreciated ...(Planning to use a data logger for a project  using the SD card)

  • Hi Manu,

Can you please show some screen shots of the situation you are describing? We don't provide the SD card slot on the launchpads anymore (this is due to the microSD card slot supply)

    Regards,

    Luke

  • Hi ...there wont be any pop up if the data logging starts through the gui...so the screenshot will not makes any sense i guess..

  • Hi Manu,

Section 3.1.5 of the Launch-Pad User's Guide will help you here. I'll give a brief summary of operation but I recommend reading the user's guide for full explanation.

When you are in a different mode you will need to exit from the mode before starting another mode. So, if you do the Live temperature mode first you will need to exit to start the FRAM mode.

    For the FRAM Mode:

    1. When you click start the red LED will blink 3 times to indicate you are going into FRAM log mode. The launchpad will be disconnected from the GUI, this is because it goes into LPM 3.
    2. The device will wake up every 5 seconds, you should see the green LED blink during this. This lets you know the device is logging the temperature during this time.
    3. To exit FRAM log mode press S2, the red LED will blink to show the exit was successful.
    4. Reopen the port and click show FRAM data to see the graph of collected data.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Luke
