MSP430F5529: "Unable to Launch CCS debug-session based on current selection"

Part Number: MSP430F5529

Hello,

When I try to build my project in CCS, I receive the error message: "Unable to launch CCS debug-session on current selection. The specified file "C:\Users\myname\universityOneDrive\Second Year\C Term\class\Lab0\targetConfigs\MSP430F5529.ccxml" does not exist in the file system. This is strange, as the project I'm building is not Lab0. I've made sure to select the config files inside the project I'm building as the active and default targets. Also, there is a file named MSP430F5529.ccxml with the correct data at the place specified by the file path. Any ideas about what could be causing this error?

Thank you!

  • After a few hours of poking around I have found a solution:

My problem laid in working on a network drive accessed by two different computers. This drive was stored under different usernames in both systems. To remedy this, I had to delete everything in .launches and let CCS regenerate it. Hope this helps someone.
