MSP430F67791A: MSP430 COM0 & COM1 Leakage Current Issue

Hi All,

I'm developing a low power device with have an LCD. My Problem is The COM0 & COM1 are uncontrollable and always output 1.2V due to this my device current consumption increased to 150uA after some time initially it is 6uA (superb for my application).

Please suggest any workaround needed to control the COM0 & COM1 in my MCU side to perfectly work my Project.

If you use COM0 and COM1 for LCD, it should output a AC wave? Why it be a 1.2V

Can you show me how you use the COM 0 and COM1?

COM0 & COM1 both are DC output. COM0 to COM7 pins are connected with LCD way 4.7uF capacitors.

From COM2-7 are perfectly control in sleep mode to 0V output but COM0 & COM1 are not. They are continually output 1.2V DC with increases Current consumption in sleep mode.

What you are setting to COM0 and COM1?

What about the hardware connection for COM0 and COM1?

Hi Eason Zhou,

Thanks for your concern for this issue.

The Problem is found and corrected.

The problem was from MCU side. COM0 & COM1 don't have any control register present and it always in output mode, So a discharge register needs to add with Capacitor, so it prevents capacitor overcharge bye continuously discharge.

Due to overcharge of capacitor during Power saving mode LCD also get Brust uncontrol change on display with causes Display got fade away.
