MSP430FR6043: configuration issue

Part Number: MSP430FR6043

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Please see the figure below:

1) As per the manual, the minimum value is 0us. But the customer cannot set it to 0us, why's this?

2) How exactly should the meter constant be filled?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

    1. This parameter UPS and DNS gap should not be set as 0us. It represents the delay after you finished capture the first channel and the start measurement of the second channel. Customer need to make sure there is gap in there to exhaust the signal which still remains in the pipe.

    2. Customer can put any value to the Meter Constant to start with. This parameter is used to calculate the volume flow rate.

volume flow rate = meter constant * dTOF / (absTOFUPS*absTOFDNS)

    Best regards,

  • Hi Cash,

    Thanks for your support.

Could you please help elaborate more on the parameter UPS and DNS gap?

The following are the parameters configured by the customer, but the error is now always reported: "Time between measurements is greater than UPS0 to UPS1 gap". Is there anything wrong?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Cherry

  • Hi,

The UPS0 to UPS1 gap should longer than the sum up of these parameters in the advanced parameters. Start PPG Count, Turn on ADC Count and Start PGA and in bias count.

    Best regards,
