Fail to do firmware upgrade via USB

Dear Sir,

There is a problem when I try USB upgrade in F5510. I use the example firmware upgrade software and reference code found in TI website.

But it shows that "no device connected" when I have connected the board.

May I know the possible reason for that?

Thanks.

  • To start the BSL that is built into the MSP, you'll need to follow the BSL init sequence. IIRC, it is a shortcut between Vusb and another USB pin when the MSP is powered-up by USB (see datasheet and slau319.pdf ). Then the BSL will kick in and enumerate on the PC as the proper 'updateable MSP device'.
