MSP430F5529: "dma_ex4_singleTransferADC12" example in MSP430Ware example does not appear to work?

I am attempting to run the "dma_ex4_singleTransferADC12" found in the MSP430Ware examples but it does not appear to work. The example code compiles and runs but the interrupt never fires, suggesting that the DMA transfer is not taking place. I realize that the header states the example may need to be modified to match the exact application, however all the other examples have just worked.

I have compared this example to another I have found on the web here: https://embedded-lab.com/blog/tinkering-ti-msp430f5529/25/ and it appears pretty much line-by-line identical.

I have had reasonable though search for a solution, and cannot. Has anybody been able to get this example to work?
