MSP430FR2033: Program not generating a .out file

Hello,

I need help troubleshooting the reason why my program isn't generating an .out file. There are no other errors except for this one. Here is the error:

makefile:151: recipe for target 'Monitoring Module.out' failed
gmake[1]: *** [Monitoring Module.out] Error 1

I am unsure what the criteria is to generate an .out file, but I am clearly not meeting it.

Could the date on your current out file be in the future?

Have you tried to clean the project?

The Binaries folder isn't in he directory. as a result the .out file isn't in the directory either.

How would one go about cleaning the project?

Are there any other errors if you scroll up in the console output? This error is extremely generic. I can get the same error by setting the output directory where the .out file is to be written as Read Only, for example.

I found the problem. I commented some functions out in one of my .c files, but I forgot to do the same in the .h file. My issue is resolved.

You should of gotten other errors besides just a "no .out file error". In fact, I don't think the compiler cares if you have unused prototypes.
