MSP-EXP430FR5739 Code Examples, Monitor Program

There are code examples for the MSP430FR5739 on the device page, which are very similar to code examples for other parts.  The source code for the Experimenter's Board is also available under the TI Software tabe of the Experimenter's Board website, or at the top of the page where it says "FRAM Source Code and GUI".

In SLAA499–July 2011 Migrating From the MSP430F2xx Family to the MSP430FR57xx Family I found:

For code examples on how to configure the MPU, the MSP430FR5739 product folder or MSP430FR573x, MSP430FR572x C Code Examples (IAR and CCS) (SLAC491).

But I couldn't find slac491 using search function. The only result was:

I have no doubt that slac491.pdf will be available next week. (That is, one week following the previous week of the publishing date.)

The link does not work and a Google search revealed no easy way to get to that pdf file or any code examples for the chip. And the experimenter board comes with no documentation or code samples whatsoever, as you know.

Meanwhile, can some kind fellow user post some USART configuration code for the exparimenter board? The user guide is not of any help (the register names do no match the source code, for one thing) and setting up the UART is a costly trial-and-error business.

The code examples have been updated.  If you go to the product page for the MSP430FR5739, the link there for code examples stays up to date, SLAC491a.zip is available under Software and Development Tools.  Also, the product page for the FRAM Experimenters Board has experimenter board specific code examples if you go to TI Software under Related Products.

Yes, I coud find the example code. I did not look thoroughly enough.

Anyway, there were enough examples for other chips that I managed to configure it by trial-and-error, looking at other examples. I had missed a few important details in the user manual, that was all.
