MSP430FR6007: C problem with unsigned long and unsigned long long with msp430

Shows it *where*?

Does it happen when you use the variable?

Share a short test case that shows the problem.

Shows up when hovevering on the variable and when using the watch function.  Haven't tried using it.  Simple test case:

unsigned long tempnum;

tempnum = 0;

Had you executed the assignment before hoovering?

Do you have optimizations?

If your assignment has no effect it might be ignored

unsigned long foo

foo = 0;

....

foo = bar * 12;

Yes execulted the asasignment before hoovering.

Hi Bob,

Within your project properties you can change your optimization level. Right click on your project name in the project explorer, and choose "Properties" from the context menu.

Then under Build -> MSP430 Compiler -> Optimization, set your optimization level to off.
