I have a question in the following environment.

environment
・Application: CapTIvate Design
・Board used
- CPU board: CAPTIVATE-FR2676
- Metal electrode board: CAPTIVATE-METAL Rev D1
- Writing board: MSP430
・Development environment
- ccstudio 12.3.0

question

・It seems that the value is adjusted in the middle when the force is gradually applied, but which parameter is related?

Hi,

It seems like you are recording the count value on one pad. You can select what data you are logging in the GUI.

As you gradually increase the force, you will feel that the value has increased along the way.

Hi,

The increased value should be the Delta parameter. Delta = LTA - Count. When pressing the button, the LTA keeps the same, Count value goes down, the Delta goes up.

We recognize that 004 is F0 Raw Value.

Does it mean that F0 Raw Value is affected by delta?

If so, is RawData that parameter?

Hi,

This raw value looks like the raw count data. When you touch the button, the capacitance on the button is larger. The count value will decrease and will cause the Delta goes larger.

In this figure, It looks like your hand is leaving the button. And causes the capacitance on the button is smaller. The counts value than goes higher.

Hello Cash Hao,

1.Write the attached program with CCSTUDIO 12.3.0.

2.Check for 004 in User Log Data in CapTIvateDesignCenter.

3.004 will suddenly change if you continue to touch with a force that does not exceed ProxThreshold.

Can you share the raw datalog data?

It seems you are output LTA to the GUI. I would assume a calibration happens. But I need to see the raw data, then I can know what cause the calibration.

yes. I have verified that the LTA is calibrated.

Does that mean the raw data is also calibrated?

If the raw data is also calibrated, is there a way to disable it?

Yes, the raw data is also calibrated.

You can comment the code here to disable the calibration. But, I would suggest you to find why the calibration happens.
