Hi,

Some MSP430 have advanced sensing feature in the all product list.

What is the advanced sensing feature of the MSP430?

I compared the MSP430FR6887 and the MSP430FR6888,

The two devices differ in their advanced sensing feature except for memory size.

I checked the datasheet but there is no block for advanced detection.

Hi,

Advanced sensing feature for MSP430 products can be divide into three main parts.

1. simultaneous sampling ADCs: MSP430I204x, MSP430AFE25x, MSP430F67xx

2. capacitive touch sensing:MSP430FR253x, MSP430267x

3. high-speed ADCs & ultrasonic front-end: MSP430FR604x, MSP430FR504x.

Hi,

MSP430FR6888 isn't included in three main parts.

But It is marked as advanced sensing device.

Also, FR6887, which is the family part as FR6888, is not marked advanced sensing.

I think this is a mistake.

Hi,

I get this information on the first page of the device datasheet of MSP430FR688x and MSP430FR588x. https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/msp430fr6887

The ESI peripheral is also one of the advanced sensing peripheral. Just not the three main parts.
