”GUI-based gain control ”has a range of -6.5db to 30.8db, does any value within this range adversely affect the flow rate measurement or current consumption?
Do you have a recommended value?
Currently, the value is set so that the ADCCapture count is around ±900.
For example, when setting at 0.1db and when setting at 10.7db, is there a disadvantage if the value is higher?

The gain setting you are changing inside the GUI reflects the gain of the MSP430FR6047's internal PGA, so yes it does affect your actual measurement.
Please let me know if you have any guidelines for designing flow pipes so that the gain value is above or below what value.
Your pipe choice will depend on quite a few factors including your transducer frequency, desired flow rates, transducer placement, etc. I don't believe we have guidelines on this, but the device should be able to support a wide range of pipes with adjustment to configuration.

Yes, anywhere in that range is a valid configuration for your PGA, and therefore should be okay. You would not be able to gain above that range without external amplification.
