There's an issue from the customer need your help:

What is the maximum input and output current of the IO pins allowed by the MSP430G2553 microcontroller? Where is it reflected in the chip manual?

Hi Ben

for all outputs combined should not exceed ±48 mA to hold the maximum voltage drop specified

for one output, max is 6 mA

When I set the IO port of the chip as an input pin, what is the maximum input current allowed?

Hi Ben

The maximum input current of each pin is 2mA

Please check Diode current at any device pin on device data sheet
