MSP430F5528: Vbus monitoring design guide

Hi team,

My customer has a question regarding the Vbus monitor for MSP430.

They would like to use the VBUS detection pin of the MSP430.

Is it necessary to add a resistor for EMC and overvoltage protection of this pin?

It would be appreciated if you could provide a design guide if available.

First dose the device powered from Vbus? Or it has other power supply?

Customer just want to detect the Vbus on or off, or need to detect some detail information like not lower than some voltage?
