MSP430F2132: MSP430xxxxx interfacing to external non volatile memory

Hello,

 

For a new project, we want to store (write few times) then read (frequently) into an external nonvolatile memory with a MSP430xxxx

(currently we are considering the MSP430F2132). The goal is to do a “lookup table”.

 

According to “MSP430F2xx, MSP430G2xx Family User’s guide” (SLAU144K), this devices family seems to do not integrate special external memory management capability, right?

 So, to read/write to an external memory, what is the suggested digital interface? (USI, USCI? USART? What mode : SPI ?)
