MSP430L092: Memory and boost converter strategy

Part Number: MSP430L092
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61299

I am investigating using MSP430L092 in a project powered by a 1.5 battery. Since the MSP430L092 does not include internal memory that can be used for application code, TI’s MSP430L092 Loader Code User’s Guide (SLAU324A) includes this example of MSP430L092 with an external SPI memory:

This includes a boost converter to provide the supply voltage for the SPI device. My application would also require a boost converter for the SPI device. Since my application requires a maximum battery life but can’t be switched off, can TI recommend a boost converter that would minimize the current draw from the battery? And is there a particular SPI memory that TI would recommend?
