MSP430F5342: MSP-GANG programmer

Hi Yash,

Can you give me more introduction about your issue? Please share the following and which may help locate the error:

1. Are you use LauchPad or your customized borad?

2. What the MSP-GANG software page shows? A screenshot of it will  be helpful.

3. What the hardware connection of your board? I want to make sure that you connection is well.

Thanks for the response. 

we are connected to our customized board from our customer to MSP-GANG device and MSP-GANG device is connected to PC.

we have checked and verified our connection and it checks out ok. 

Please refer below image of MSP-GANG software which shows the error. Hope, it will help you.

It looks alright, so just some idea for test；

1. Can you try it with LaunchPad and check whether it can success?

2. Try SBW for reading.

3. Change a channel for reading.

can you please specify, which Launchpad you are referring to?

Also we have tried SBW for reading with different channel, but its still showing us the same error.

I think it could be any LaunchPad of MSP430Fxx device.

Other possible reason that does the current load under the limit 50mA?

Also, can you share your hardware connection pin? 

Currently I do not have the MSP-GANG in my desk, so..I can not verify with them. I have ordered one but it will take several days to get.

Yes, current is set to 30mA. 

Also, we have tried with different launch pad but its not solving the issue. Everytime we get the same error of MCU initialization.

I got a new MSP-GANG, and I find it works with default configuration:

The connection need test pin, I am not sure whether you connect them.

I have different question, I hope you can help me.

We are using TI chip BQ40Z50RSM on our project for programming. we have a broker part which is BQ40Z50RAMT-R1, but our lab report says that it is not programmable IC. I want to confirm that is part number BQ40Z50RAMT-R1 programmable ?
