MSP430FR6047: MSP430FR6047 - Optical communication

Part Number: MSP430FR6047

Hi Team,

We are design and developing a product for ultrasonic water flow meter application.

We are planning to use MSP430FR6047 controller. 

We also need a optical communication for data transfer and Firmware update. Is One single infrared LED can be sufficient for both send and receive.

Please guide us on this.

    MSP430FR6047 have the following communication peripherals

    4x eUSCI_A support UART, IrDA codect and SPI
    2x eUSCI_B support I2C and SPI

    Could you please check if the communication peripherals is suitable on your application?
