MSP430G2213: Target must be connected before loading program.

I'm having trouble uploading my program on my MSP micro with CCS12.4.

My code still compiles fine, but whenever i try to upload it i get hte error.
"TI MSP430 USB1/MSP430 : Target must be connected before loading program."

I've reverted to a previously working iteration of my project which has the same issue. I've also tried using an MSP-FET tool instead of the regular MSP430 launchpad deveopment board. I've also tried different combinations of MSP430G2231s on 2 different Launchpads with the same result. To my knowledge I haven't changed any of the project settings in my workspace.

I've done a firmware update on my MSP-FET, but i can't recall wether uploading stopped working before or after doing this.

This issue is getting really frustrating to me. I've been trying to solve this for the past 4-hours without any results.

Any idea as to what might be wrong with my project? I'll upload further information if needed.

    It seems that the CCS recognize the debugger. But it can't find the device.

    Can you help check the signal connection (SBW) and the hardware setup (Like the power supply)

    It seems that the projects settings don't change correctly when switching to a different device with the same connection device type. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but this seems to correct it if i change the connection device type, save the project, relaunch the program and switch it back to the original connection type, and save the project settings again.
