EVM430-FR6047: USS for non-water liquids

I would like to use the EVM430-FR6047 with the Ultrasonic Sensing Design Center for liquids other than water. Is it possible to adjust parameters in the app to do this? Or how can this be accomplished with the evaluation module?

    Hi Nate,

    Generally speaking, yes it is possible. The app will allow you to collect and use the calibration data for the set-up you are using. You have to ensure that the transducers you select are viable for the medium you intend to measure and our device. You can find guidance on collecting calibration data in the MSP Academy – Ultrasonic Water Flow Meter Design and Testing guide. On the device landing page you will find more information on utilizing the device and customizing it for your application.

    Please be aware that support may be for other liquids depending on our testing abilities here. Our prior testing and most of our guides are focused on water flow metering but we will do what we can to give support on your application.
