MSP430G2332: how to generate hex or bin file from ccs project files and how to upload it in a controller using spy-by wire protocol.

If you are using Code composer studio (CCS), right-click on the project name in the project explorer and select 'show build properties' from the large drop-down menu, then select MSP430 Hex Utility  and check the box "Enable 'MSP430 Hex Utility".  Next, click on Output Format options and you will see a box named "Output Format".  Click on small arrow on right to drop down options for output files.

To program the MSP using will need a programmer, such as MSP-FET, to program using spy-by-wire.  You can also use the FET programmer that is on all MSP430 launchpads by jumpering the spy-by-wire signals over to your target MCU.
