MSP430FR6047: How to output 10V amplitude pulses to stimulate ultrasonic transducers

I am using MSP430FR6047 chip to stimulate an ultrasonic transducers(pulse amplitude is 3V), and it works (I can get the received ultrasonic signal). Now I want to increase the pulse amplitude to 10V or more to stimulate the transducer and to get stronger ultrasonic waveform. How to do it?

You will need a 10 V supply and a logic level MOSFET that can be turned on by the MCU. You many need a NMOS or PMOS depending on whether you want high side or low side switching.

Hi David,

You are going to need to design your own external amplification circuit for this. If you take a look at this reference design, you can see a reference for designing a "backpack" device that will allow you to drive the transducers at up to 12V.

Hi Dylan,

I am using TI's EVALUATION BOARD (EVM430-FR6047). Is there a quick way to drive the transducers to 12V or more ? Are there any off-the-shelf devices to purchase to achieve it?
