MSP430FR2433: FLASHING

HI TI,

I tried to debug the code on my customized MSP430FR2433IRGER MCU using MSP430FR2433 Launchpad through EZ-FET probe.

but Iam getting error "MSP430: Error connecting to the target: Unknown device." Can you suggest some ideas to sort out this issue.

Hi Hari,

You say you are using the MSP430FR2433 Launchpad as the programmer, but from your schematic it appears you are using 4-wire JTAG?. Besides, the Launchpad doesn't provide all 4 JTAG signals, only the 2 Spy-by-wire signals.

Assuming you are using only the SBWTCK and SBWTDIOI for programming, I don't see a RST connection to your JTAG connector (see diagram from datasheet), and, verify you have 47K ( or similar) and 1nF on the RST input (like in the diagram).

Next, do you measure 3.3v on the DVDD pin? How long are your wires from the Launchpad to your PCB? They should be < ~ 20cm.
