EVM430-FR6047: MSP430FR6047

Part Number: EVM430-FR6047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, EVM430-FR6043

Hello,
I'm have trouble with Board EVM430-FR6047.
I used the same pipe for EVM430-FR6043 and the result was good. now i wanted to compare with EVM430-FR6047, but i'm getting that error on the Pics. DTOF and Absolute TOF are also not good, but ADC signal looks really good. can some one help? i tried to change the #define USS_ALG_MAX_SAMPLE_SHIFT                  20 but it dind't help. i tried update with both software and UniFlash but it doesn't help

those are my Configuration and results:

best regards.

  • Hi Pierre,

Is this testing done with zero flow? Usually you do not need to adjust maxSampleShift unless you are testing high flow rates.

Have you conducted a frequency sweep and determined the correct transducer excitation value for F1? I see you are using 2000kHz, I am wondering if this is correct. It seems that this issue can appear sometimes when the excitation frequency is off.

Your ADC capture does look ok. Could you also tell me the distance between your transducers?

  • Hi Dylan,
yeah the test are conducted with zero flow. i tried to udjust maxSampleShift b'se i saw it in previous discussion with others but it didn't help. at the excitation frequency is this error more ofen than here. my excitation frequenc was 2060kHz. this is the same Frequency i used bei EMV430-FR6043. and it was really good. any where this error is not there when i use a pipe with 1000kHz frequency. it seems, the error is for 2000khz

    Best Regards

    Pierre

  • Thanks for elaborating.

To be clear, you are saying that you originally used a 2000kHz pipe on the FR6043, and this worked well, but now you are using the same pipe on the FR6047, and seeing problems? But when you switch to a 1000kHz pipe, it works again?

Did you conduct frequency sweeps on both pipes to make sure that you are using the best excitation frequency?

As an experiment, could you try seeing if the issue persists when you decrease the number of pulses? If you do this, please post an image of your ADC capture. Thanks.
