MSP430F5310: MSP430F5310

Part Number: MSP430F5310

We have developed custom bootloader for MSP430F5310  for customer requirement.

We are observing failure in debugger/Programmer connection failures after bootloader flashing.

Let us know safe   procedure for custom bootloader flashing.

My assumptions are.

1: custom BSL flashing requirement need to Allow Read/Write/Erase access to BSL memory

2: After BSL flashing device need to be powered off before programming wires from board to avoid accidental JTAG lock

  • JTAG fuse value is stored in last BSL segment, so the (factory default) value must be (all erased) 0xFF.

I guess that reset triggered by watchdog in software should be enough to put device in fresh working condition.
