hi experts,

i wanted to implement CDC + HID in my usb application,

cdc is working but hid not working..

i'm thinking hid demo application in required for that

if i click button in keyboard based on that gpio pin should control like on and off

please give suggestions,

Hello Tex,

You need some sort of GUI or program on the PC side to interface with the HID interface. Please see the MSP430 USB Development package and Getting Started with USB Design on MSP430 for more details.

Thanks for the reply sir jace,

I did the above things which you said, CDC worked but when it comes to CDC+HID it didn't worked

just an LED ON i was tried to do, please help me what are all the things i have to give priority while working with HID + CDC

Hello,

First double check that when you do the combination that your CDC port hasn't' changed. Otherwise, it could be that if you are not establishing your HID connection, the code doesn't progress. You need a HID application on the PC to establish that connection. The one we provide with the MSP430 USB Developer's packages only works up to Windows 7 unfortunately, as such its outside of scope for me to do tests currently.

thanks for the reply jace,

The CDC port haven't changed,

Luckily i have windows 7 system i installed init..

HID example (LED onoff) i uploaded and checked still it is behaving same as before

please give me any suggestions

Hello Tex,

Unfortunately, I cannot help you debug further here as I don't have access to a windows 7 PC. It could be the java version is not lined up with what was released with the HID example. That's the only additional thoughts I have on the subject.
